Lookie, lookie. Mr. Oro had made it from the background to the forefront at Men of Anime. I knew it wouldn't take long for you all to notice how great he is.
Now what can I say about Shinta (oops, I mean) Kenshin. ^_^ Shinta's way too cute a name for a master of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu. Which
is why his master, Hiko, renamed him Kenshin. Heart of Sword. So what if I thought he was just a little bit girlish at first. I only had eyes for
Sano in those days. (And yes, Kenshin's seiyuu IS a woman.) But I got over it pretty fast. Kenshin is everything a guy ought to be: kind, protective, thoughtful, honorable,
a good cook (better than Kaoru-dono, anyway) and likes to clean. Perfect! Why can't I find a guy like that?
But there's a huge contrast between what you normally see (Oro?) and the guy that's still lurking within him (Battousai).
He's like a Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde trying really hard to ditch Hyde in a world where people who carry swords theoretically aren't needed anymore.
And there's a good chance he'll be able to do that, with friends like Kaoru, Yahiko, Sanosuke and Megumi.
Here's a quote from him - "A sword is meant to kill. Fighting techniques are ultimately used to kill. This will never change. But
dreamers like Kaoru-dono use Budo for something besides killing. And I prefer what Kaoru-dono believes over the way things are. Maybe
